Kjell Seim is among the elite conductors in Norway, be it for concerts, opera and ballet performances, musicals.
First-Prize Winner at the Nordic Conducting Competition in Stockholm in 1987, Kjell obtained his diploma in Conducting from the State Academy of Music in Oslo, and has a number of other international classes under his belt.
He has been the Music Director of Norway’s Opera in Kristiansund since 1989 and, as such, gained years of experience in the opera’s prolific annual program of operas and ballets. He has been a recurring Guest Conductor with the Philharmonic & Symphonic Orchestras in Norway, with the Norwegian State Opera and with orchestras throughout Scandinavia. He also has considerable experience conducting orchestras in Germany
Kjell Seim has performed as Guest Conductor of the National Symphony Orchestra of Taiwan and the Finnish National Ballet. In addition, has had music directorships with:

Kjell Seim has mastered a broad range of musical arts. He is greatly experienced in classical & romantic works, a great number of operas and ballets, and many of the important works of the 20th century, such as Avant-garde.
